The perfect counterpoint to a busy day in the Medina! Cozy, quiet, and clean. This riad is a modern homage to traditional domestic space that retains a sense of life and home. Unbeatable food: sophisticated, homemade quality, generous portions, good value. Their sharing of Dropbox documents upon booking was a great beginner’s resource for what to expect for hotel services (with prices) and other standard information at more detailed levels. Last but not least, Dar 7 Louyat has a team of skilled staff who embody the quality of this stay with their easygoing yet professional manner—thank you!

Mother-daughter adventure!
We absolutely loved our stay at Dar 7 Louyat! Sufiyan was the perfect host, making us feel welcome and at home, and the two women who cooked and served our breakfasts were delightful. The approach to the riad is daunting at first -- the alley of seven turns -- but then it became second nature to make our way home. And as you enter the riad -- the magnificent central courtyard greets you and embraces you. Our room was comfortable -- we loved the beautiful green tile in the bathroom! -- the shower was hot, the rooftop terrace was a lovely peaceful place to relax, to have breakfast, to listen to the wonderful quiet of the medina surrounding, and the birdsong. The location of the riad in the medina was perfect -- a quiet remove, but still very central. We would highly recommend a stay at Dar 7 Louyat.

Beautiful Riad with very friendly atmosphere
Where to start…. This riad is a beautifully restored tall home with a gorgeous roof top terrace to enjoy breakfast (and dinner if not downstairs). Many original wood carvings remain and new tile has been done in a way to blend with the original tiles. All that in a home that has all the modern amenities. The best air-conditioning we experienced during our trip, great water pressure in the shower, super-comfy bed. The room was spacious too. There may be other beautiful riads in Fes but the people here really made it stand out, starting with Sofyan who was so attentive, helpful and communicated with us throughout and prior to our arrival, anytime we were looking to coordinate transport or tours, who was very present and great to chat with during our stay. And Fatima’s and Rashida’s cooking was truly the best Moroccan cuisine we had! Each dish tasty with a variety of spices to distinguish the dishes they served, with the meat so soft. We opted for two of our three dinners at the riad because of their cooking. They also served up a copious and varied breakfasts with excellent strong coffee! And always with a smile and good humor. The location of the riad is on a quieter more local side of town which personally we liked as it felt a little more “real” although still busy, with a fair amount of tourists, and full of life. We enjoyed wandering through the medina tremendously and after a couple of walks had our bearings. Note that although there is no elevator there are two beautiful large rooms at the ground level as well. We hope to be back.

A wonderful riad in the heart of the medina
We had a wonderful stay at Dar 7 Louyat. The riad is beautiful and tucked away down a maze of tiny streets which made it feel like an adventure getting there for the first time (but was quite easy to find thereafter!). The staff could not have made us or our children feel more welcome and the food was delicious and always served with a genuine smile. The guide that was organised by the riad to take us around the medina was brilliant. Overall, highly recommended.

harmony and balance
If harmony and balance live in one place, it is in this riad. From the location, decoration, to the people, to the venue itself and his soul, which cannot be created however, here, you can feel it in every detail. A magical space in the heart of the medina, which connects us with Fez and with ourselves, in a balance that I have rarely felt while travelling.
Younes, the manager is friendly, dedicated, and helpful, turning the experience even more local and immersive with his tips and recommendations. It's easy to feel welcomed and hugged and at the same time completely out of our comfort zone, in a place that seems stopped in time. Extra points also for the manager's musical taste that helps to make the stay even more magical and unforgettable.
Thanks Younes, Fatima and all the Dar 7 Louyat'family for giving us something to return to. I'm sure that I will be back, very soon. ♥

loved this placet
i spent 3 nights at Dar7Louyat and i felt more than comfortable there (while traveling alone).
The Staff was suuuuper highly friendly and the manager Younes was always the kindest person being helpful & available for questions etc.
I enjoyed the calm nights and having breakfast & dinner on the roof terrasse.
I‘ll definitely come back to this beautiful place.

What a find !!
I was fortunate enough to stay here for four weeks. Everything about my time was perfect. Firstly the Riad itself is beautiful, traditional, spotlessly clean, quiet, lovely terrace, hugely comfortable bed, a well stocked library and in a great location. The food was of a high standard, lovingly prepared, delicious and extremely generous portions.
However it was the staff who made my trip so exceptional and memorable. I was traveling alone but was made to feel part of their family. My daily questions were answered and I gained an incredible insight into the local life and the culture of Fez. I cannot think of any negatives. I feel exceptionally privileged and lucky to have found this amazing place.

This place IS the best experience in Fes!
· This completely restored riad in the middle of the Fes medina is not just a place to stay while you are visiting Fes, staying here itself is an experience. We had an amazing time exploring the medina where it's located as often as we liked and for as long or short as we likes since we were in the middle of it. We didn't have to take a taxi here each time. Then when we were tired from the walking, photo-taking, shopping, etc. we could come up onto the beautiful rooftop terrace with views of the entire medina, and more -- or relax in the lounge room on the soft sofas. The breakfasts are delicious, and we found it was an amazing experience to request dinner prepared here every night. The staff, especially Reda and Younis were incredible - they take such good care of you and become your friends (when do you guys sleep!?). We had a wonderful time, and would recommend staying here to ENHANCE your experience in Morroco. Other details, the bathroom was spacious, extremely clean, we had wonderful water pressure and hot water for showers -- we weren't sure what to expect in such an old part of town :-)
· We had nothing we didn't like at all! We felt like we had plenty of privacy here -- but this place is enjoyed best chatting with the other guests at breakfast or dinner to share stories from your day, recommendations for the next, and to enjoy meeting other travelers. :-)

Our stay in Fez was a delight. Our hotel arranged for a taxi to be waiting for us at the airport. Then there was a cart waiting to bring us to Dar 7 Louyat. Dar 7 Louyat is located in the old Medina. Rich with history. Dar 7 Louyat is in it self an oasis. Stunning to see and a pleasure to rest our bones from the long walks of the day. We were greeted by Soufiane Dayi. A well informed and charming expert at Dar 7 Louyat. He was very friendly and helpful to us. He helped us set up very reasonable excursions during our stay. Arranged dinners at Dar 7 Louyat and even took a request from us for a dinner. The staff at Dar 7 Louyat were most reliable and friendly. There are fruit drink specials that are freshly made and they are delicious. I especially loved the Lemon Mint drink. So refreshing. We were in the roof top room which was exquisite. So comfortable and tranquil. Sitting on the roof in the evening after dinner was a treat. Soufiane and the staff went out of their ways to make us feel at home. Dar 7 Louyat is a destination I will visit again. Thank you!

Everyone at Dar 7 Louyat was absolutely wonderful
Everyone at Dar 7 Louyat was absolutely wonderful from the minute we walked in! The ladies who take care of the place immediately greeted us with the biggest and warmest smiles, and the customary mint tea. The manager (who spoke perfect English) took the time to walk us through just enough of the basics for our first night and because we were exhausted from our trip, left the rest of the details for the following morning. They were kind enough to order food for us so we wouldn't have to go outside and try to find a decent place to eat, and the next day we had one of the best breakfasts of our entire trip! The place is very tastefully decorated, very clean and very warm! We had everything we could possibly need and Najima helped us with our laundry as well. It was honestly our best experience during our 2 week trip in Morocco! We just couldn't stop smiling every day when we woke up. Insanely comfortable beds too! Location is great, albeit hard to find (but then again, so is everything else in Fez). You're a couple of blocks away from Place Seffarine and one of the tanneries, which we totally recommend going to. Definitely check out the rooftop, the view is great!

Best place in Fez
We had the most wonderful time here. The place is absolutely beautiful and the staff made the stay incredible. We will definitely go back to this Riad. Breakfast was really good, room was nice, clean and the Riad is absolutely gorgeous. We travelled with a 2 years old who was very comfortable and loved his time there. The staff even made him French fries when he got hungry. Highly recommend this Riad.

"Great Experience in Heart of Fez"
The location was perfect and the entrance to the Riad is truly an experience about life in Fez. They received us with an amazing mint tea while explaining the architecture of the place and how to get through the medina in Fez... and the staff is absolutely amazing, always smiling and willing to help in all of our requests. Cant wait to be back at this riad and amazing town.

“ An unforgettable long week-end in a Marvellous Riad ”
The Riad is the most beautiful accommodation we have had while in Morocco. Recently refurbished, brought back to his ancient splendour, it is tastefully decorated in respect of their traditions. The rooms are airy and spacious, the beds comfortable. The traditional bathrooms left us in awe.
